Golf – A Premium Experience

Scotland, the home of golf, is embracing a passion for quality within the game. Eastwood Estate will meet that passion with the finest short course in the West of Scotland.

The new course will largely be built on the history and heritage of the former Eastwood Golf Club. Dating from 1891, this well-loved sporting facility was a top-class, USPGA standard course offering some of the best golfing in the area and we plan to retain as much of it as possible.

The new course — south-facing and in a valley — will build on this legacy, affording a premium level of play that will be even better than the original as well as providing a memorable and distinctive experience for golfers of all levels.

The golf available at Eastwood Estate will set itself apart from other courses in two particular ways.

Firstly, in order to meet the playing demands of the 21st century, it will consist of 12 holes rather than the more commonly found 18 holes.

The first Open championships held at Prestwick Golf Club were three rounds of 12 holes and the ever popular Shiskine Golf club on Arran is and always will be 12 holes.

Many golfers today play a variety of courses as an alternative to their own club. Others don’t want to be tied to one establishment. Eastwood will offer a fabulous quality course to those that want flexibility.

We believe that this 12-hole, 3220-yard, Par 43 course will offer the optimum balance, allowing players to relax, have fun and enjoy a real challenge in a game taking approximately two hours. Through a choice of tee, this will be equally enjoyable for the expert and the high handicapper alike.

In moving on from the traditional 18-hole members format, we also plan an alternative to the traditional and often formal culture of the 19th.

Come ready to play and have a drink in our clubhouse afterwards.

In keeping with this ethos, it will not be a traditional membership club. Golfers demand flexibility and pay-per-play with options for those who want a round regularly. An annual subscription will be available.

Once again, we believe this model meets the needs of our times. Many people no longer want the substantial upfront expense, a long commitment or the responsibility of a yearly membership.

Our exceptional course will offer a unique, top-quality and exclusive experience for today’s discerning golfers — busy, successful people and their families. We will encourage them to make the most of their game and their leisure time without feeling it has to take up a substantial part of their busy day.

Scotland may be the home of golf, but Eastwood Estate will help bring the ancient game into the modern age.

We think it’s part of the future.
